Hey, Everyone!

The Gateway Arch National Park at sunrise

Gateway Arch National Park was a big surprise for me. The first time I visited, I did not think I would like it very much. Wow, I was so mistaken!

Even though GANP is the smallest national park at just 93 acres (compared to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park at 522,427 acres), it has a lot to offer. There’s the Gateway Arch, of course, and its tram that takes you 600′ to the top. The museum tells the story of St. Louis’ role in the westward expansion of America and does so with amazing creativity and clarity.

The grounds of the park are beautifully manicured. And the park sits right on the Mississippi River, where you can take a riverboat ride.

Plus, there is so much to do in St. Louis! Attractions, parks, baseball, hockey, museums – the city has it all!
